Devolution

My take on The Singularity is that if we reach a point where technology surpasses humans, it won't be because machines are truly superior, but because people have devolved by having relied too heavily on technology. Rather than being ordered around by authoritarian AI, humans find themselves forced to reshape their lives around technology because they don't know how to function without it.

This piece represents the devolution of once skilled, creative humans into shallow, pliant selves who have surrendered to letting machines make all their choices.
